General demonstration: Sintered Ferrite Magnet (Hard Ferrite magnet, Ceramic Magnet) is made of ferric oxide/barium and strontium. It is included "Isotropic" and "Anisotropic" which is sintered through dry pressing or wet pressing by tool. It can be magnetized axially, radially, multi-poles axially and multi-poles on circumference, etc. As a low cost alternative to metallic magnets, Sintered Ferrite Magnet (Hard Ferrite Magnet, Ceramic Magnets) has won wide acceptance for high coercive force, excellent corrosion resistance, long-time stability and economical price. It has played an important role in electronic industry, car industry, medical treatment, mining and metallurgy industrial and etc, like motors, automotive sensors, loudspeaker, magnetic resonance imaging and etc. Ferrite magnet (Hard ferrite magnet) have won wide acceptance due to their good resistance to demagnetization, excellent corrosion resistance and low price per pound. In fact, measured by weight, ferrite represents more than 75 percent of the world magnet consumption. It is the first choice for most types of DC motors, magnetic separators, magnetic resonance imaging and automotive sensors , industrial application,. Besides, Sintered Ferrite magnet is widely use in Educational area. Hard ferrite magnets, made by molding powder mixture of about 80% Fe2O3 and about 20% either BaCo3 or SrO3, is also called ceramic magnet. Along with deepening of research, some additives such as cobalt (Co) and lanthanum (La) are mixed together to improve the magnetic performance. The molded powder metallic green is sintered inside a temperature controlled furnace what is heated with electricity or coal. Though hard ferrite magnet is with low magnetic property, it is still a preferable choice to engineer in their design due to several factors: Abundantly available raw material, the cheapest cost among permanent magnet family, low density, excellent stability of chemistry, high maximum working temperature and Curie temperature. Applications of Ceramic Magnets: Speaker magnets DC brushless motors Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Magnetos used on lawnmowers and outboard motors DC permanent magnet motors (used in cars) Separators (separate ferrous material from non-ferrous) Used in magnetic assemblies designed for lifting, holding, retrieving and separating Magnetic properties of Ferrite magnet (Hard ferrite magnet) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
